Meet Chef Lori Pope
Since I was five years old, serving others has been my heart’s calling. Growing up as the daughter of missionaries in Mexico, I discovered the profound joy of sharing good food with those in need. A joy that filled both the giver and the receiver.
Cooking became more than a task; it was my way of expressing love and service to everyone around me. As the eldest of nine, I took on the responsibility of planning menus, grocery shopping, and preparing meals for our bustling family. Those early days shaped me, weaving hospitality and care into the fabric of who I am.
For forty years, I nurtured a dream of owning a restaurant. I’d often play chef, hosting dinners for friends, pouring my heart into every dish. In 2020, with the unwavering support of my incredible family, I took a leap of faith. By God’s grace, Harvest was born. A dream made real.
What began as a pursuit of cooking revealed a deeper purpose: to lead, to love, and to serve. I uncovered my truest self in this journey, walking in faith each day with excitement and gratitude, learning from and teaching those who cross my path.
Harvest is more than a restaurant; it’s a sanctuary where love, passion, and pride in craftsmanship infuse everything we create. Here, meals become memories, friendships deepen, and the barriers that divide us dissolve. Our highest purpose is to share a loving experience and a great meal with every guest who walks through our doors. Thank you for being part of our lives.

Every bite at Harvest Kitchen & Bakery is a testament to their commitment to freshness and quality.From the moment you take that first bite it’s clear nothing is pre-made or sitting under heat lamps; everything arrives bursting with the natural essence of its ingredients, resulting in an experience that’s as deliciously pure as it is undeniably satisfying.
This is a special place. It isn’t the rushy rush feeling we all have, just drop that at the sidewalk. ❤️ It’s fine, just go with the flow it is so well organized, you will not have that “oh they forgot that moment” etc. you are treated special here. It’s delightful. The owner/chef is a beautiful person you will see amongst the beautiful decor but it feels like the decor is just real. That’s the kind of place it is…it’s a feeling. If you want to treat someone they’ll feel like you gave them a giant bouquet. The food is absolutely delicious. Just can’t say enough. This is the only review I’ve ever written like this. Have been four times over two years and it’s always wonderful. So I am taking the time to appreciate this experience. Go be blessed.
This is my very first time writing a review EVER! This place blew my mind! They had me as soon as I walked in with some of the most pleasant background music that took me back in time to better times.I ordered the "pigs in a blanket" plate, while my wife ordered the "hot chicken breakfast tacos" my plate was on their online menu but not on their store menu. BOTH WERE DELICIOUS. Everything was very well prepared and tasted amazing.My wife and I will definitely be back. Great job Chef! You have set the bar!
